Representation of contractors in connection with the following types of projects: infrastructure and heavy civil, courthouses, detention facilities, retail, commercial real estate, hotels, gaming, military, airport, power and energy, and hurricane restoration.

Represented concrete subcontractor against prime contractor in dispute over payment and performance on large California public works project. After five-week jury trial, obtained verdict in favor of client in excess of $2 million and attorneys’ fees award in excess of $700,000, and defeated prime contractor’s claim for alleged damages of $2 million.

Represented partner in joint venture against other partner in contract and accounting dispute involving numerous federal government set-aside projects. After five-week jury trial, obtained verdict in favor of client in excess of $1.5 million and defeated other partner’s claim for alleged damages of $3 million.

Represented concrete subcontractor against prime contractor in dispute over extra work, delays and inefficiency on large commercial California project. Prime contractor settled for payment to our client to avoid trial.

Represented prime contractor against steel fabricator and performance bond surety in dispute over payment and performance on large out-of-state public project. Surety paid our client to resolve the dispute; fabricator dismissed its claims.

Represented prime contractor against flooring subcontractor and performance bond surety in dispute over defective work on California public works project. Subcontractor paid substantial settlement to our client to avoid trial.

Represented prime contractor against insurer who denied coverage of a large claim. Obtained eight figure settlement in favor of client.
